Freqently Asked Questions

Do You Handle Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Search Engine Optimization is the active service of enhancing your website to perform well on search engines. This means that when someone types in a search that pertains to your business or service on a search engine (eg. Google), your website is more likely to appear as a top choice in the search results. Bridgetown Marketing is NOT an SEO company, nor are we SEO experts. Our sites are built with clean and healthy code that works as a wonderful blank canvas for your SEO provider.

If we are redesigning your site, there are a few things to keep in mind. We cannot guarantee that the new site will retain the same level of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as your current site. If SEO services have been performed on your current site, we would ask that you have a discussion with your current SEO provider about the rebuild and we may ask that you connect us.

Note: If you would like to be connected with an SEO expert, we would be happy to refer you to a few companies we respect.

Will My Site Work On All Devices?

Bridgetown Marketing sites are designed on desktop/laptop computers. Once you’ve approved the design, we optimize the design for display on tablets and mobile devices. That means that your site will look wonderful and be easy for your visitors to use, no matter what device they are viewing it on.

Can I Include An Opt-in/Email Funnels On My Site?

While we are happy to build a subscription form into your website, the opt-in itself should be developed prior to designing the website. This includes any automated email response that a user receives after subscribing to your newsletter, as well as any free offer they may receive for signing up.

What Is GDPR & Accessibility?

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is a strict law enforced in places around the world. GDPR compliance on websites often looks like the “accept cookies” button that appears when you first navigate to a site. All sites built by Bridgetown Marketing will include a plugin to create that “accept cookies” button, but we encourage you to educate yourself on this law to understand how it may affect your business.

Laws relative to the Accessibility of your website are changing rapidly. Bridgetown Marketing does not provide Accessibility specific design. We recommend that you stay up to date on your responsibility as a business owner by hiring an attorney who specializes in Accessibility. You can learn more about Accessibility of websites here.

Will My Site Include Google Analytics?

Every site built by Bridgetown Marketing will be associated with a Google Analytics property. If at any point you would like to access the reporting available through Google Analytics, Bridgetown Marketing can transfer ownership of that Google Analytics property to you. You will need to set up a Google Analytics account in order for us to transfer this to you.

How Does The Revision Process Work?

Depending on your project, you may be offered 2-3 rounds of revision on your site design. After your initial design has been completed, we will send you a look at the site. You will have one week from that date to review the design and provide us an initial round of feedback via either a detailed list of changes or a scheduled zoom call. When sending revision requests, please be as specific as possible. If there is something you dislike about a design, please try and provide us with alternative options or examples to help communicate your preference.
